JVC introduced the Victor SP-WS10BT portable speaker

JVC Kenwood has announced the new Victor SP-WS10BT portable wireless speaker, designed for users who want more intelligible dialog without increasing the overall volume. The new product is part of the Mimiraku line of hearing-aid devices. Sales are scheduled to start in late November, with an estimated price tag of about $200.

The speaker uses a 2.4GHz digital wireless system that provides minimal latency. According to JVC, the latency between the transmitter and the speaker is about 30 ms. The transmitter connects to the TV via an optical input or 3.5mm analog jack and is powered by its own adapter.
The speaker is built around a two-way design: two tweeters, one woofer, and a large passive radiator. The enclosure is made of MDF to reduce vibration and improve clarity. This design improves midrange and treble, and provides more robust bass for a compact size. There are three sound modes: Clear, Music and Movie. Clear Voice mode enhances speech intelligibility.
The speaker has Bluetooth 5.4 for playing music from smartphones and tablets, and supports SBC and AAC codecs. You can switch between TV and Bluetooth audio with a single button.
The design features a natural walnut wood top panel and a folding aluminum handle for easy carrying. The device weighs around 1,052g and has a battery life — up to 15 hours. There is the possibility of playback while charging. Three LEDs indicate the level of charge.
Additional features include a 3.5mm input for external audio, a headphone jack, large physical control buttons, an auto-off function, and a simple pairing process with the transmitter. Speaker dimensions — 210 × 85 × 92 mm, transmitter dimensions — 72 × 20 × 53 mm.
