Insta360 GO Ultra: compact camera for vlogging and action shooting

Insta360 has unveiled a new camera that takes its place between the diminutive GO and the more professional Ace Pro. The Insta360 GO Ultra retains the detachable format of the GO 3/3S series, but gets a larger body and a noticeable upgrade in features.
Insta360 GO Ultra is a compact camera that’s the same size as the GO 3/3S series.
The main innovation is a 1/1.28-inch sensor, more than twice the size of the GO 3’s sensor. Together with the new 5nm processor, this allows you to shoot video in 4K 60fps (versus 30fps on the previous model), as well as 1080p at up to 240fps for slow motion. 2.7K at 120fps is supported as well. A 50 MP mode is available for stills, as well as RAW and HDR.

The camera inherits the PureVideo feature from the older Ace and X models for improved low-light shooting. You can edit clips, add effects, music, and even integrate data from fitness apps or smartwatches via the proprietary app.
Despite the improvements, the camera remains compact: it weighs 53g without the case and about 110g with the case. By comparison, that’s still considerably lighter than the Ace models. The case is IPX8 rated, so you can dive to depths of up to 10 meters without the need for a case.
GO Ultra supports a host of accessories: a magnetic pendant, Velcro straps, a new cap clip, and an improved station case that serves as a docking station for charging and previewing.
