Google Pixel Watch 4 smart watch has been officially unveiled

Google has officially announced the Pixel Watch 4. Externally, the watch follows the same design as last year’s model, but gets a brighter display, improved performance, and longer battery life.
The Pixel Watch 4 is again offered in two sizes, 41mm and 45mm, with 1.2-inch and 1.4-inch screens, respectively. Both displays now support brightness of up to 3,000 nits, which provides excellent outdoor readability and brings the watch up to par with competitors like the Samsung Galaxy Watch8.
An updated Snapdragon W5+ Gen 1 chipset is at the heart of it, complemented by an energy-efficient AON co-processor, which is responsible for basic processes while the main chip is in sleep mode. This allows you to save a significant amount of battery life.
The batteries have gotten bigger, too: 327 mAh for the 41mm version and 459 mAh for the 45mm. Google promises up to 30 hours of battery life on the lower model and up to 40 hours on the higher model with Always-On Display.
The new “side charging” dock is used for charging – in this position, the watch can work as a desktop alarm clock. In addition, charging speeds have been improved by 25%.
Pixel Watch 4 has become “Gemini-ready” – you can now just lift your wrist to communicate with the Gemini assistant. Gemini is also integrated into some apps. In terms of health and sports, the watch offers tracking for more than 40 types of workouts, as well as ECG, SpO2, breath and heart rate monitoring.
The watch will be available with Active (Obsidian, Porcelain, Moonstone) and Sport (Indigo, Limoncello, Iris) straps. The Active version is made of a new, more comfortable material.
Pixel Watch 4 runs on Wear OS 6. In the US, prices start at $349 for the 41mm model without LTE and $399 with LTE. The 45mm version will cost $399 and $449 respectively. In Europe, prices are €399/€499 for the junior model and €449/€549 for the senior model.
