DJI has released an 8K movie camera with lidar – DJI Ronin 4D-8K

The long-awaited DJI Ronin 4D-8K movie camera, introduced two years ago, is finally on sale. This kit includes the Zenmuse X9-8K camera and 4-axis stabilizer, representing two devices capable of delivering professional quality footage. In addition, the new product is equipped with lidar for fast focusing in all lighting conditions and has several other features useful for professionals.
The stabilizer frame of the DJI Ronin 4D 8K is made of robust aluminum-magnesium alloy, while the Z-axis arm is made of durable carbon fiber. Thanks to the combination of these materials, the weight of the design is only 4.67 kg, which is quite low for a professional device of this type. For high performance shooting, the Zenmuse X9-8K camera is used to record 8K video at 60 fps and 4K at 120 fps.
The new product has also gained support for dual native ISO technology from EI 320/1600 to EI 800/4000. This technology allows the sensor to use different ISO values for parts of the image in shadows and highlights, which significantly reduces noise and increases dynamic range. The camera is also compatible with Leica, Sony, ARRI mounts and supports ACES color coding.
The DJI Ronin 4D-8K kit includes a stabilizer, Zenmuse X9-8K camera, DJI DL PZ 17-28mm lens, and DJI PROSSD 1TB storage. Such a kit is available at a price of $12,838 (1,151,200 rubles). You can also buy just the camera, which is available at a separate price of $3,599 ($322,700 rubles).
