CES 2026: LG brings back ultra-thin Wallpaper TV with the wireless OLED evo W6
It’s been nearly a decade since LG first introduced the Wallpaper TV series — TVs so thin that installing them was like putting up wallpaper. After discontinuing these ultra-thin models in 2020, the company finally decided to revive the lineup. The new OLED evo W6 will debut at CES 2026, which LG is positioning as the world’s thinnest truly wireless OLED TV, receiving major improvements over the original.
In place of the soundbar that previously housed all the connectors, LG has developed the Zero Connect Box. It houses all the inputs and transmits the signal wirelessly up to about 10 meters away. The concept is reminiscent of Samsung’s approach with the Wireless One Connect Box used in The Frame lineup. Thanks to this, there will be no tangled cables or massive soundbar near the screen, but the OLED evo W6 itself is a little thicker — 9 mm versus the previous generation’s record 2.6 mm. Nevertheless, even that thickness remains impressive: the TV feels comparable to putting a modern, large smartphone against the wall.

The new model has received a number of technological improvements as well. These include the use of a third-generation α11 processor, as well as the new Hyper Radiant Color technology, which delivers deeper blacks, improved color reproduction, and enhanced brightness. The Brightness Booster Ultra feature, LG claims, delivers four times the brightness of conventional OLED panels. To handle the increased brightness, the screen has been specially designed with reduced reflections.
The OLED evo W6 is now better suited for gaming, too. It supports 4K resolution with a refresh rate of 165Hz and has a 0.1 pixel response time, which is important for competitive gaming. It is also claimed to be compatible with NVIDIA G-Sync, AMD FreeSync Premium, Google Gemini and Microsoft Copilot. In standby mode, the TV can utilize the Gallery+ feature, displaying screensavers, personal photos or images created using generative AI.

LG has not yet revealed in which diagonals the updated Wallpaper TV will be available. No pricing information is available either. Previous Wallpaper TV models cost up to $20,000.
