CES 2025: Audio-Technica unveils new headphones with high battery life

While Hybrid Active Noise Cancellation (ANC), water resistance and other features are already standard in the headphone market, the new model offers an innovative approach – an impressive battery life that sets it apart from the competition.

Record battery life
One of the main features of the ATH-CKS50TW2 is its ability to run for over a day without recharging. In comparison, most headphones provide about 6-7 hours of playback, not counting the use of the charging case. Audio-Technica’s headphones offer up to 25 hours of battery life from the headphones themselves, and up to 65 hours with the charging case.
With ANC enabled, battery life drops to 15 hours, which is still well above the competition’s average. With the charging case included, total battery life is 40 hours. The earbuds also support both USB Type-C charging and Qi wireless charging.
Design and sound
The headphones are ergonomically shaped like a smooth «pebble» for a snug and comfortable fit. They feature 9-millimeter dynamic drivers and magnetic switch technology, which automatically turns the headphones off when the magnets make contact.
The headphones feature hybrid active noise canceling technology for quality sound and enhanced ambient perception.
Improved communication quality and smart features
ATH-CKS50TW2 offer an enhanced communication experience with dual MEMS microphones with directional beamforming technology. Additional features include support for multi-point connectivity, Bluetooth 5.3, and compatibility with Siri and Google Assistant voice assistants.

The headphones come in two colors: black and beige. They are already available for purchase at $149.
