Apple has created a magnetic MagSafe holder that attaches to the iPhone, easily removable and can be used as a stand.
The accessory supports two mounting options for the smartphone — vertical and horizontal. Apple notes that the shape of the holder was designed «from the ground up with accessibility in mind» and that Hikawa received direct recommendations from people with impaired muscle strength, dexterity and motor control.

The company emphasizes the artistic side of the accessory as well — it’s inspired by modern sculpture, according to Apple. That’s probably what influences the price: the holder is available in two colors and costs $70. By comparison, regular similar holders on Amazon cost around $10. Hikawa, though, is known for creating unusual and noticeable accessories — including impressive designer toilet lids.

But amid the release of the holder, another Apple accessory — the knitted «sock case» for the iPhone, introduced last week, caught the eye. Its price starts at $150 and goes up to $230, which has caused mass bewilderment on social media and a strong reaction from users who don’t understand why a small knitted pouch costs as much as a full-fledged gadget.
