IFA 2025: Acer unveiled the Predator Helios 18P AI and new Predator devices for work and play

Acer announced a lineup of Windows PCs and peripherals for gamers and content creators. The main new product is the Predator Helios 18P AI hybrid laptop for work and play. Also featured are the Predator Orion 7000 and Orion 5000 desktops, the Predator Aethon 550 TKL keyboard, and the Predator X27U F8 monitor.
Predator Helios 18P AI: Hybrid power for work and play
The Predator Helios 18P AI is aimed at professionals who want a portable computer with desktop-level performance for AI inference, development, editing, and gaming.
The laptop comes with a processor up to Intel Core Ultra 9 285HX with Intel vPro support for enterprise-grade hardware security and stability. Support for up to 192GB of EEC memory that detects and corrects common data errors, reducing the risk of crashes and silent data corruption. Graphics – up to NVIDIA GeForce GeForce RTX 5090 Laptop with DLSS 4. Storage is up to 6TB PCIe Gen 5 SSD, and there’s Thunderbolt 5 Type-C, Killer Ethernet E5000B, and Wi-Fi 7.
The screen is 18 inches, 16:10 ratio. The Mini LED variant offers 4K WQUXGA (3840×2400), HDR mode with 1000 nits peak and 100% DCI-P3 – for image generation, video editing and 3D rendering.
Cooling system: two 0.05mm AeroBlade 6th Generation metal fans (some of the thinnest ever), liquid metal thermal interface, and vector heat pipes.
Predator Orion 7000: Maximum performance and advanced cooling
The desktop Predator Orion 7000 (PO7-667) is designed for gamers, creators, and professionals. Up to Intel Core Ultra 9 285K with integrated NPU for AI workloads and a graphics card up to NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090 provide ray tracing and DLSS 4 with Multi Frame Generation. The system supports NVIDIA NIM Microservices, state-of-the-art AI models for building assistants, agents, and workflows on NIM-ready systems.
The Predator CycloneX 360 and processor’s SLR are bundled together for stable performance under load. This thermal design improves cooling efficiency by 15%2 and reduces motherboard temperature by 9°C[ii]. Memory is up to 128GB DDR5 7200 MT/s XMP RGB, storage is up to 6TB SSD (and up to 4TB HDD), networking is Killer E3100G and Wi-Fi 7, and ports include Thunderbolt 4.
Predator Orion 5000: for serious gamers
Predator Orion 5000 (PO5-667) includes a processor up to Intel Core Ultra 7 265F and graphics up to NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5080. Up to 128 GB DDR5 7200 MT/s RGB, up to 2 TB SSD and up to 4 TB HDD are supported. Temperature management is taken care of by the Predator CycloneX 360 system fan and 120mm ARGB CPU cooler. Networking options include Killer E3100G 2.5G Ethernet and Wi-Fi 7.
The two Orion models come in 45-liter cases with tempered glass (EMI-compliant), ARGB backlighting, use of up to 65% recycled plastic in the total plastic mass, proprietary PredatorSense software and Acer Intelligence Space package.
Predator X27U F8: OLED up to 720Hz for cyber athletes
The Predator X27U F8 features a 26.5-inch WQHD (2560×1440) OLED panel and supports up to 720Hz. Thanks to Dynamic Frequency Resolution (DFR), modes switch between WQHD @ 540Hz and 1280×720 @ 720Hz. Color gamut is 99% DCI-P3, VESA DisplayHDR 500 True Black certification, and AMD FreeSync Premium Pro support.
Predator Aethon 550 TKL: precision and customization
The Predator Aethon 550 TKL keyboard features three connectivity modes (wired, Bluetooth, 2.4GHz), up to 150 hours3 of battery life, hotswap switches (blue/red), interchangeable WASD caps, compact TKL layout (80%), and pokewriter RGB backlighting with Windows Dynamic Lighting.
