Xiaomi launched a smart water purifier with ice making and instant heating function

Xiaomi has unveiled the Mijia Desktop Water Purifier Ice-Making Edition, which combines filtration, ice making and instant water heating functions. The new product is already available for purchase at a price of about $632.
The device features an inverter-based ice-making system capable of producing five clear 10-gram cubes every 15 minutes in standard mode. The accelerated mode can produce five 6-gram cubes in just 10 minutes.
The compressor works together with two-speed fans to deliver consistent performance with a noise level of only 35dB. The unit is capable of storing 40 to 50 ice cubes and storing them for up to five hours at 75% efficiency.

To ensure safe and clean water, Xiaomi has installed two ultraviolet lamps that sanitize the tank and ice compartment, killing up to 99.9% of bacteria and reducing the risk of listeria infection. The device also features an automatic ice dispensing system – just press a button to get a batch, without the need for a spoon or tongs.

The purification system includes six stages of RO+GC filtration capable of trapping particles as small as 0.0001 microns. It effectively removes microplastics, heavy metals, PFAS and other harmful substances. The purified water meets infant drinking water quality standards and has several safety certifications.
The built-in 6 liter dual tank separates clean and waste water, preventing backflow. It uses activated coconut shell charcoal made in Sri Lanka to improve the taste.
The system incorporates a 2100-watt heater with a thick-film element that can heat water in just three seconds. The temperature is adjustable from 40°C to 95°C with an accuracy of 1°C. Through the Mijia app and HyperOS Connect, users can change settings, check water quality, and monitor the device’s status in real time.
