Xiaomi has unveiled the new Redmi Projector 4 Pro, which replaces last year’s Redmi Projector 3 Pro. The device is already on sale in China at a price of 1,499 yuan, which is roughly $210.

The projector supports 1080p resolution and delivers 600 lumens of CVIA brightness. It features an upgraded sealed optical system that increases brightness, prevents dust, and reduces noise to 29 dB.

Redmi Projector 4 Pro is powered by a MediaTek MT9660 processor, has 2GB of RAM and 32GB of built-in eMMC storage. The device runs on the HyperOS Connect platform, which allows it to interact with other devices in the Xiaomi ecosystem. For example, when the projector is turned on, the system can automatically dim the lights or close the curtains.

The projection ratio is 1.25:1, allowing you to create an image from 45 to 120 inches. MEMC technology improves motion smoothness when viewing dynamic scenes. The projector is SGS certified for low blue light and is capable of filtering out light between 415 and 455 nm, reducing eye strain.

The ToF laser and HD camera are used for easy image adjustment, which work together with artificial intelligence algorithms to provide automatic focus and trapezoid correction. The system can also detect obstacles on the wall and adjust the image to fit the screen. All of these functions are activated in about two seconds.

The sound is provided by two 8-watt speakers with passive bass drivers and a 500-cubic centimeter resonator. The sound system supports a frequency range of 25Hz and above, delivering deep and rich sound. The projector can also be used as a Bluetooth speaker.

Interfaces available include HDMI (with ARC support), USB 2.0 and a 3.5mm jack. Dual-band Wi-Fi (2.4GHz and 5GHz) and Bluetooth 5.1 are supported. It weighs 3kg and has a power consumption of 150W.

The body is gray with a fabric front panel. The projector supports wireless image transfer from smartphones, tablets, and laptops.
