Samsung preps its first Ultra robot vacuum with steam cleaning and AI

Robot vacuums have become a staple for anyone looking to keep their home clean with minimal effort. You don’t necessarily need to splurge on the priciest models, but it’s usually the premium segment where advanced features like sophisticated obstacle recognition make their debut. Samsung looks ready to take this seriously with its first robot vacuum bearing the Ultra tag – the Bespoke AI Jet Bot Steam Ultra.

Samsung already has experience in the robot vacuum market, but according to Sammobile, it recently sold out its stock of Jet Bot models released in the US in 2024. At the same time, Samsung dropped a brief teaser showcasing key features of the upcoming Bespoke AI Jet Bot Steam Ultra.

The teaser video provides a clear look at the hardware upgrades packed into this new model. As shown, the Jet Bot Steam Ultra uses 100 °C steam delivered to cleaning pads-not directly sprayed on the floor. This method not only cleans but also disinfects surfaces. For navigation, the vacuum appears to rely on an AI-powered object recognition system.

It’s also equipped with an EasyPass Wheel system that lets it overcome obstacles up to 4.5 cm high. For more thorough cleaning along walls and in corners, a retractable side brush is included.

As with other Samsung devices, privacy and security remain priorities, aiming to ease users’ concerns about potential vulnerabilities in smart home gadgets.
