Apple released a limited edition AirTag in Japan in honor of the Year of the Snake

Every year, companies release special products in honor of the new year in the Eastern calendar. In anticipation of 2025, which will be the year of the snake, Apple announced a limited edition AirTag uniquely engraved with a snake.

Apple’s New Year’s Eve campaign in Japan
The official website of Apple Japan has revealed information about a New Year’s Eve campaign that will run from January 2 through January 5, 2025. As part of the campaign, customers in Japan will be able to receive gift cards of up to ¥30,000(approximately $190) when purchasing Apple products including iPhone, iPad or Mac. The size of the card varies depending on the device selected.
Gift cards will be available for purchase.
Gift card sizes for various products:
- Beats Solo Buds, Studio Buds+ and Beats Flex headphones: up to ¥6,000
- Magic Keyboard for iPad and Apple Pencil (2nd generation and Pro): up to ¥6,000
- Apple TV 4K and HomePod: up to ¥8,000
- iPhone 14, iPhone 15 and iPhone SE: up to ¥11,000
- Apple Watch SE, Series 10 and Ultra 2: up to ¥11,000
- AirPods 4, AirPods Pro 2 and AirPods Max: up to ¥12,000
- 10th generation iPad, M2 iPad Air and M4 iPad Pro: up to ¥15,000
- MacBook Air with M2 and M3 chips: up to ¥30,000
Limited AirTag: first-time buyers only
The first 50,000 customers who purchase iPhone 14, iPhone 15 or iPhone SE during the promotion period will receive a limited edition AirTag with a design in honor of the Year of the Snake. This accessory will only be available as part of the promotion and will not go on sale.
Promotion Exclusions
Some new products, such as iPhone 16, MacBook Pro and the recently released iPad mini 7, are not included in the campaign. However, the campaign covers a wide range of devices, allowing customers to choose the most appropriate product.
