Xiaomi has announced the release date for its Stride electric car platform
By ForGeeks The head of Xiaomi, Lei Jun, has published a post on social networking site Weibo dedicated to the premiere of its new branded electric vehicle platform — Stride. The date for the event has been revealed, but it remains a mystery as to what exactly the Chinese brand is going to show off.
The image published in the post indicates that the Xiaomi Stride presentation will take place on December 28. Normally, such a platform includes a body part, suspension axle, wheelbase, steering box, transmission and engine. However, reports have surfaced online that the Stride could also include AI-algorithm-driven driving functions.
The Stride is expected to be unveiled on December 28.
The Xiaomi SU7 electric car is likely to be based on this platform. However, the head of the company clarified that only the core technologies will be presented at the presentation, so there’s no information yet about the date of the car’s press reveal and its arrival on sale. According to rumors, it may happen no earlier than January 2024.
