NASA showed the workings of the space delivery service to the moon

The space organization NASA has unveiled a video on its rapidly expanding commercial lunar delivery service. The initiative will be the foundation for the first commercial lunar marketplace and future scientific exploration.

A NASA organization has unveiled a video on the rapidly growing commercial lunar cargo delivery service.

NASA is currently known to be working with 14 U.S. private companies on the Commercial Lunar Payload Services (CLPS) project. All of them are seeking to deliver scientific equipment to the surface of the Moon. The CLPS project is part of the Artemis program, the focus of which is — lunar exploration.

The project is part of the Artemis program.

The commercial delivery services will be used to conduct science experiments, test new technologies and demonstrate capabilities to help NASA explore the moon and prepare for manned missions.

The plan is to send Astrobotic’s VIPER lunar rover to the moon’s pole in 2024, as well as Draper science missions to the lunar Schrödinger Basin in 2025. All of this will allow, among other things, to invest in the creation of a commercial lunar market. The agency also sees this approach as a first step toward Mars, as the first humans are expected to travel to it as early as the 2030s.
