New hybrid SUV M-Hero M817 to appear in Russia

Before the end of the year, the Russian lineup of cars of M-Hero brand will be replenished with a new SUV. The country will get the M-Hero M817 model, whose sales in China will start in the near future.

M-Hero M817: dimensions almost like the flagship and over 700 hp

The new model is slightly smaller than the flagship M-Hero 917 SUV, but with a more expressive and understated design. The M817 is 5,100 mm long, 1,999 mm wide and 1,899 mm tall. For comparison, the 917 model has these parameters are 5066 mm, 2080 mm and 1934 mm respectively.

The M-Hero M817 is a plug-in hybrid. It’s powered by a 1.5-liter gasoline engine with 197 horsepower. The combined output of the powertrain exceeds 700 horsepower.

Tianyuan architecture from Dongfeng and Huawei

This is the brand’s first model built on the Tianyuan architecture jointly developed by Dongfeng and Huawei. The platform integrates hardware components, software and cloud technology, enabling adaptive SUV behavior in various operating conditions.

It is expected that details on the configurations and pricing for the Russian market will be revealed closer to the on-sale date.
