Rising prices for Volkswagen Teramont may reduce demand for this car in Russia

The Volkswagen Teramont is currently being delivered to Russia mainly from the Chinese market, and its price is subject to monthly fluctuations. Thus, in early summer, the model could be purchased at a dealer for 7.9 million rubles, while at the moment the car of the same configuration is offered for 8.2 million rubles at the same seller.
The reason for this price change was not commented by representatives of the dealership. In technical terms, the Volkswagen Teramont is equipped with a 2.0-liter turbocharged gasoline engine developing 220 hp, as well as a 7-speed DSG robotized transmission. In addition, the car has an all-wheel drive system.
All-wheel drive system is available.

It’s worth noting that the Teramont models supplied to Russia differ from those sold in China in their technical characteristics. In particular, the Russian version of the car has lower ground clearance and less powerful engine compared to the Chinese modification. These differences are due to the need to adapt the car to the road conditions and regulatory requirements of our country.
