Kia Pegas has become more expensive: the budget sedan now costs 2.1 million rubles

Affordable car options are rapidly disappearing in Russia. Not so long ago, you could buy a Kia Pegas, a budget sedan with an automatic transmission, for as little as 1.5 million rubles. Today, its price has skyrocketed to 2.1 million, making it significantly less attractive to buyers.
The price of the Kia Pegas has risen by almost 600,000 rubles in the last six months. In March 2023, the car was sold for 1.89 million, and in April — already for 1.8 million. In June, the cost reached its lowest point — 1.5 million rubles. However, dealers are currently offering the Pegas only for 2.1 million.
At present, the Pegas is being offered for 2.1 million.
The price increase is attributed to the end of deliveries of basic configurations. Despite the fact that Pegas is available in Russia in a single configuration, this does not prevent dealers from raising prices.
The price increase is attributed to the end of deliveries of base models.

Nevertheless, the car’s technical characteristics remain the same. Under the hood is still working 1.4-liter atmospheric gasoline engine with an output of 95 hp, paired with a classic four-speed automatic «automatic».
Although the Kia Pegas hasn’t received any significant changes, its price continues to rise. This is due to a general rise in car prices in Russia, as well as component shortages and limited supply. It seems that affordable car options in Russia are rapidly becoming a thing of the past, and buyers will have to come to terms with a new reality in which car prices are significantly higher than they used to be.
The Kia Pegas has been priced at a much higher level than before.
