Siri’s personalized features delayed until 2026

At the WWDC 2025 conference, Apple confirmed that the expected Siri personalized features will not be included in the first beta versions of iOS 19, iPadOS 19 and macOS 26. The company announced that the launch of these features will take place “over the next year,” without giving an exact timeline.

What’s known about the personalization features

The updated Siri should get support for contextual awareness, recognizing what’s happening on the screen, and the ability to interact with apps on a deeper level. For example, the voice assistant will be able to analyze data from the Mail and Messages apps to answer questions about family members’ plans, appointments, or travel.

These features were first announced in the summer of 2024 at WWDC 2024. At that time, they were planned for release in iOS 18.4, but the launch was delayed.

Reasons for delay and requirements

Apple did not explain the reasons for the delay, but did clarify that the new Siri will require devices that support Apple Intelligence, an artificial intelligence system integrated into the OS starting in 2025. That means the personalized experience will only be available on newer iPhone and iPad models that meet the hardware requirements.

When to Expect

There’s no exact release date yet. Apple has limited itself to saying “within the next year,” which means a possible launch as part of iOS 19.1 and above, or even later in 2026.
