Samsung plans to launch AI Healthcare Coach feature in 2025
Samsung has confirmed plans to launch its AI Healthcare Coach feature in the US by the end of 2025. Despite rumors and expectations, it never arrived with the new Galaxy Watch 8 and Galaxy Watch 8 Classic smartwatches, but development continues.
According to the report, Samsung Health remains the leader among health apps in South Korea, with more than 10 million monthly active users. By comparison, its closest competitor has just 1.86 million users.
AI Healthcare Coach was first mentioned in July by Park Hoon-soo, head of Mobile Experience. According to him, the chatbot will:
- analyze data collected by Samsung’s wearable devices;
- help manage medications and prescriptions;
- keep a nutrition calendar;

The feature will not diagnose or recommend treatment, but will only alert you to potential changes in your health, as implemented by competitors like Oura Ring with its AI Advisor.
After the launch, Samsung plans to integrate data and platform company Xealth, which it acquired in July 2025, into the service. Xealth works with more than 500 hospitals in the U.S. and has extensive experience in medical data. Samsung President T.M. Roh said the acquisition will be an important part of the company’s strategy to build a digital health ecosystem.
Importantly, AI Healthcare Coach will be free, but additional services around it could be paid for in the future.
The feature is expected to be released in beta format first. A possible official unveiling will take place on Sept. 4 at IFA 2025 in Berlin, where Samsung will hold a press conference.
According to Grand View Research, the healthcare AI market was valued at $26 billion in 2024 and could grow to $187 billion by 2030, making the launch of the new feature extremely promising for Samsung.
