Previously, the feature was only available to subscribers of the Pro plan, which cost $200 per month. Now Plus users will receive 10 Deep Research requests per month as part of their plan. For Pro subscribers, the limit has been increased to 120 requests per month, which is 20 more than it was previously. On top of that, the company has introduced several enhancements to improve the tool’s performance. ChatGPT will now embed images along with quotes, which will provide more complete and richer data. The understanding of different file types has also been improved, which will allow for better document analysis.

How to use Deep Research
To use the new feature, simply write a query as you normally would, but you must select the Deep Research icon before submitting. Depending on the complexity of the query, it can take anywhere from 5 to 30 minutes to compose a response. OpenAI clarified that the feature is currently very computationally intensive, so free users won’t be able to try it anytime soon.
