Xiaomi has launched the Redmi K70E smartphone

Another member of the new Redmi K70 lineup is called the K70E. It’s a more budget-friendly smartphone with 12/256GB of storage and a starting price of $280. Unlike its brothers, the Redmi K70E comes with Dimensity 8300 Ultra processor, a 4nm chip with Cortex-A715 and A510 cores, as well as LPDDR5X and UFS 4.0 support.

The smartphone gets a similarly sized 6.67-inch screen, but with a lower resolution — 1220 x 2712 pixels. It’s still a high-quality display with calibrated 12-bit colors (deltaE = 0.43), Dolby Vision and HDR10+ support. It also features a 120Hz refresh rate and a 480Hz touch sampling rate.
At the same time, it’s still a quality display.

But the smartphone gets a bigger battery capacity — 5500 mAh. And although the maximum charging speed is lower at 90W (compared to 120W), it can still fully charge 100% in 34 minutes. Xiaomi’s special P2 chip ensures fast charging, while the G1 takes care of battery life.

The camera unit gets a small 64 MP (1/2-inch) sensor with optical image stabilization, which is joined by an 8 MP ultra-wide-angle camera with 120° field of view and a macro camera. The main camera can record 4K video at 30fps and 1080p video at 60fps. On the front, there’s a 16 MP front camera with 1080p video at 60fps.
