Redmi K70 and K70 Pro smartphones are officially unveiled

Last night, the Redmi brand unveiled a new lineup of smartphones called K70. To start with, here are the specs of the base version and the Pro model. Both smartphones get a 50 MP main camera, fast charging and flagship chipsets.

Xiaomi has equipped this phone with a 6.67-inch OLED display with 1440p resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. The 12-bit display can display 68.7 billion colors and reach peak brightness of up to 4,000 nits – the highest in the industry, the company claims. Xiaomi has also developed an artificial intelligence algorithm to scale some video games and apps.

Redmi K70 is powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, Qualcomm’s top platform for 2022. The chip works in conjunction with 12GB or 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 256GB to 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage.
The main 50-megapixel camera on the back features a new 1/1.55-inch sensor, af/1.6 aperture and optical image stabilization. There’s also an 8 MP ultra-wide-angle camera and a 2 MP depth sensor.
An ultra-wide-angle camera is also available.
The front camera has a 16 MP sensor. This is most likely the same sensor used in the Redmi K60.

Redmi K70 features a 5,000mAh battery with 120W charging support to fully charge it in just 18 minutes. The phone has a standalone P2 charging chip and a G1 battery management chip for extended battery life and overall power management. The smartphone comes preloaded with Android 14-based HyperOS, NFC module, Bluetooth 5.3 and dual nano-SIM slot.

Redmi K70 will go on sale on December 1. Prices will start from $350.

Redmi K70 Pro is built on the same 6.67-inch 1440p OLED display co-developed with TCL.

The Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset is one of the key upgrades over the base K70. The main camera module here is the same as in the base version. That said, the other sensors are different. The phone has a 50MP telephoto lens with 2x optical zoom and a more powerful 12MP ultra-wide-angle camera.
The 5,000 mAh battery delivers 120W charging power with the same promise of a full charge in 18 minutes.

Redmi K70 Pro is available in three colors – black, white and blue. Prices start at $465.
