Apple is developing a HomePod smart speaker with a display

According to reports that have surfaced online, Apple is actively developing a HomePod smart speaker with a display. There’s even a photo of a prototype of Apple’s new HomePod smart speaker.

The device is expected to have a circular LCD screen to display information including notifications, weather, and temperature. Speaking of which, the HomePod device will be able to support mini-apps.

The smart speaker will likely be able to run on tvOS, adapting some apps including Apple Music and Apple Podcasts. It should be noted that the final design of the product may differ from the prototype pictured.
