Xiaomi unveiled Mijia smart audio glasses and Redmi Buds 8 Lite wireless headphones in Europe
Xiaomi has held a European launch of the Redmi Note 15 smartphone series, and expanded its lineup of wearable devices with the Redmi Buds 8 Lite wireless headphones and Mijia Smart Audio Glasses.
Mijia Smart Audio Glasses look like regular glasses on the outside, but inside they feature two speakers and four microphones. Essentially, they can be used like wireless headphones, but with extra smart features. The earbuds have touch-sensitive zones that let you control playback, adjust volume, call your smartphone’s voice assistant, or answer calls.
Xiaomi has also added a live call and meeting recording function — it’s activated by a long press on the earcup. Wind noise reduction and privacy mode are supported, which reduces sound leakage so that those around you can’t hear the content being played back.

The glasses come in three designs: the Brownline for €179, the Pilot-Style for €179 and the Titanium for €199. All versions have IP54 dust and splash protection. The Titanium version is the lightest — it weighs just over 27 grams excluding the lenses. The thickness of the temples in all models is 5 mm. Connectivity is via Bluetooth 5.4 and supports simultaneous use with two devices.
A 114mAh battery is built into each earcup. Xiaomi claims this is enough for up to 13 hours of continuous music listening or up to 9 hours of talk time. Charging is accomplished via a proprietary magnetic cable that attaches to the earbuds and ends with a USB-C connector.

Redmi Buds 8 Lite are the new affordable wireless earbuds in the Redmi lineup. They feature 12.4mm drivers with titanium diaphragms, support Bluetooth 5.4 with connectivity to two devices simultaneously, and AAC and SBC audio codecs. Through the Xiaomi Earbuds app, users can choose from five pre-made sound profiles or adjust the equalizer manually.

The headphones get hybrid active noise cancellation with up to 42dB efficiency, as well as separate algorithms to suppress wind noise and improve voice calls. Battery life is up to 8 hours on the headphones themselves and up to 36 hours with the charging case included.
