Microsoft has added a mini-game to Windows 11 installation. That’s according to a journalist at The Verge, who first discovered the ability to play Surf the Waves on Surface Laptop Studio 2 tablets during the Windows 11 install and update.

According to the journalist, the mini-game is only available if there are connection or content download problems. Surf the Waves appeared in the Edge browser about three years ago.
