Honor X8d – the first smartphone with Snapdragon 6s 4G Gen 2 chip announced
If you think Honor has been following a clear pattern of releasing budget models lately, you’re not wrong. The X7 and X8 lineups are peppered with letter-coded devices, and the X8 series — is no exception. After the original Honor X8 in 2022, the company has successively introduced the X8a, X8b and X8c.

The Honor X8d joins them now, having quietly appeared on the website of a retailer in Kyrgyzstan. Despite the modest «premiere», there’s enough information to get a sense of what the device offers.

Honor X8d features a 6.77-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 1080 × 2392. The Snapdragon 6s 4G Gen 2 chipset is responsible for performance — and yes, that’s exactly what it’s called. Its full-fledged debut is expected next week.
The smartphone gets 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. There are no other variants listed, so it’s unclear whether memory expansion or additional modifications will be coming.
One of the X8d’s strengths was its 7,000 mAh battery — more than is typically found in this segment. Fast wired charging — 45 watts. The device also has an IP65 rating, providing dust and splash protection.


The main camera is —108MP, complemented by a second 5MP module. The front camera is — 16 megapixels. The dimensions of the smartphone are 162.9 × 76.3 × 7.5 mm and weighs 188 g.
On the software side, expect Android 16 with the proprietary MagicOS 10 shell. The color scheme includes black, blue, and silver variants.
Honor hasn’t made an official announcement yet, so the price and release date remain unknown. However, the appearance on the retailer’s website hints at an imminent release.
