The Moto G96 will get a 144Hz pOLED display, Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 processor and a vegan leather body

Motorola is preparing to release a new G-series smartphone called the Moto G96. According to Android Headlines, the device will be introduced alongside the Moto G86. There’s no official announcement from the company yet, but images and key specs of the Moto G96 have already surfaced online.
The smartphone will get a 6.67-inch curved pOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate, 10-bit color reproduction and Water Touch 2.0 technology. The screen is provided with a hole for the front camera. The Moto G96’s design is similar to the Moto G85, while the Moto G86 will reportedly feature a flat display.


TheMoto G96 will be available in four vegan leather case designs: Cattleya Orchid (lavender), Dresden Blue, Greener Pastures and Ashleigh Blue.
The smartphone is powered by a Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 processor. The device will get 12GB of RAM and 256GB of inbuilt storage. The Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 is an upgrade over the Snapdragon 6 Gen 4 found in the Moto G95. However, Motorola has decided not to go with the fresher Snapdragon 7s Gen 3.


The Moto G96’s main camera will feature a 50-megapixel Sony LYTIA 700C sensor. An optional 8MP macro lens will also be provided. The front camera is expected to have a 32MP resolution.
Moto G96 will get a 5500 mAh battery. Pricing information of the smartphone will be revealed at the time of launch, but the Moto G96 is expected to be priced at less than Rs. 25,000 (around $270) in India.
