Alcatel returns to the smartphone market

The Alcatel brand is officially returning to the mobile device market. The first model under the updated name – Alcatel V3 Ultra 5G – will be unveiled very soon, confirmed Madhav Sheth, founder of Alcatel India and head of HTech India (Honor’s local partner).

In a photo posted on social media, Sheth showed the box of the upcoming new product. According to him, he personally chose the final packaging – a black box with yellow accents and the slogan “Born in France, now in India”. The production and sale of smartphones under the Alcatel brand will be handled by the Indian company NxtCell, which has the rights to use the name. The company plans to market the devices as being made entirely in India.

The photo also shows alternate box variants in various shades of blue, as well as an image of the phone without a visible cutout for the front camera. It’s not yet clear whether the camera will be integrated under the display or simply shifted to the corner. Also confirmed on the box is a triple main camera and an LED flash.

The Alcatel devices will be manufactured by Padget Electronics, a subsidiary of Dixon Technologies. It will be NxtCell’s official manufacturing partner in India.

Padget Electronics, a subsidiary of Dixon Technologies, will manufacture the devices.

The name V3 Ultra 5G raises interest not only as a product, but also as the potential start of an entire lineup. Logical questions arise: will the V1 and V2 models be released? Will there be Pro, Plus or standard versions?
