Vivo has unveiled the Y300 GT smartphone

The Y300 series has been joined by yet another device – Vivo has officially unveiled the Y300 GT. Previously, the lineup has already seen variants like the Y300, Y300+, Y300i, Y300t, and Y300 Pro+. The new smartphone features a powerful battery, 144Hz AMOLED display, and Dimensity 8 series chipset.

144Hz AMOLED display and eye protection

Vivo Y300 GT features a flat 6.78-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 2800 × 1260 pixels and a pixel density of 452 PPI. The screen supports refresh rate up to 144Hz, P3 color gamut and DC dimming at all brightness levels. SGS certification ensures reduced blue light and flicker.

The 16 MP selfie camera is located in the center, in a cutout at the center of the top of the display. On the back, there’s a 50 MP main camera and a 2 MP depth sensor. The smartphone runs on Android 15 with the company’s OriginOS 5 shell.

Performance and Battery

The Y300 GT is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8400 chipset, built using TSMC’s 4nm process. Configurations are available with up to 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and up to 512GB of UFS 3.1 storage.

The key feature of the model is the 7,620mAh battery, which is Vivo’s highest-capacity battery ever. It supports 90W fast charging and Direct Power Mode, which reduces heat and wear on the battery under heavy loads.

Additional features and price

The smartphone gets an IR transmitter, dual-band GPS, tri-band BeiDou navigation, full NFC and a special wet-hand control mode. The device features military-grade ruggedness, durable materials, and moisture protection.

In China, the Vivo Y300 GT costs 1,899 yuan ($262) for the 8/256GB version, 2,099 yuan ($290) for 12/256GB and 2,399 yuan (~$331) for 12/512GB. Available in Storm Purple and Black Crystal colors.

The Y300 GT is essentially a rebranding of the iQOO Z10 Turbo introduced a month ago. The only difference is the type of memory: the Z10 Turbo has LPDDR5X and UFS 4.1, while the Y300 GT has LPDDR5 and UFS 3.1.
