Vivo X Fold 5: leaked specs

Vivo is preparing a successor to the foldable smartphone X Fold 3, which was released in April 2024. As expected, the name will omit the number “4” – it’s considered unlucky in China. The next model, according to a leak from XpertPick, will be called the X Fold 5, and its key specs are already known.
Two 120Hz screens and powerful stuffing
X Fold 5 will feature an external 6.53-inch LTPO OLED display with 120Hz refresh rate. The internal screen is an 8.03-inch AMOLED panel with 2K resolution and the same refresh rate.
Inside is a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip, already used in the X Fold 3 Pro. The smartphone will get up to 16GB of RAM and up to 512GB of storage.
Three 50 MP cameras and dual selfies
The main camera module will include three 50 MP sensors: the main Sony IMX921, a wide-angle one with autofocus, and a Sony IMX882 telephoto lens with triple optical zoom. For selfies, there are two 32 MP cameras – one on the outer screen and one inside.

Biggest battery among foldable smartphones
One of the main features could be a 6,000 mAh battery, the most capacious among all foldable models on the market. Despite this, the body will be thin: 4.3mm when unfolded and 9.3mm when folded. Charging is 90W by cable and 30W by air.
Scanner on the side, mode switch and water protection
The smartphone will get a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, a three-position mode switcher (Alert Slider), and an AI-powered toolkit. Official water protection is also expected – remember, the X Fold 3 Pro was IPX4-rated.
Interestingly, according to the leak, Vivo may forgo releasing a Pro version this time around, meaning there’s no direct successor to the X Fold 3 Pro.
