Oppo Reno 14 Pro flashed in Geekbench with a new Dimensity 8450 chip

Oppo is preparing a new addition to the Reno lineup. A device with model number PKZ110 recently appeared in the Geekbench database, and a fresh leak from insider Digital Chat Station confirms: it’s the upcoming Reno 14 Pro.

Although the benchmark indicates that the smartphone is powered by the Dimensity 8400, DCS claims that it’s actually the Dimensity 8450, a yet-to-be-announced processor from MediaTek. Rumors suggest that the standard version of the Reno 14 could also get this chip, but that’s just speculation for now. The model number of the base version of the Reno 14 hasn’t been revealed yet.

When asked about the differences between the 8450 and 8400, an insider said that they are similar to those between the Dimensity 8350 and 8300. As a reminder, the Reno 13 lineup utilizes the 8350 chipset, which despite having identical CPU and GPU compared to the 8300, offers improved gaming performance due to StarSpeed Engine technology. The Dimensity 8450 is expected to have the same basic specs as the 8400, but will offer improvements in gaming and overall responsiveness, thanks to the next generation StarSpeed Engine and other optimizations.
Announcement expected soon
The Reno 14 series is expected to premiere as early as this month in China, and the Dimensity 8450 chip is likely to be officially unveiled shortly before then. In addition to smartphones, Oppo may also unveil the Enco Clip wireless headphones and Pad SE tablet at the same presentation.
