By ForGeeks The Xiaomi 16 series is slowly gaining details: according to a leak from insider Smart Pikachu, the new product could be the world’s first smartphone with the Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 chipset, while getting the largest battery among devices with a 6.3-inch screen. It’s expected to be unveiled in October 2025.
Display and design
Xiaomi 16 will feature a 6.3-inch OLED display with ultra-thin bezels all around. The smartphone will have a flat screen, and the leak claims that it will be «the most beautiful» flat display among flagships. The device will run HyperOS 3.0, built on top of Android 16.
Battery and performance
The main feature of the device is the battery. While the exact capacity has not been revealed yet, the Xiaomi 16 is rumored to beat the OnePlus 13T, which has a 6,260 mAh battery with a similar screen size. A previous leak hinted at a battery of up to 7,000 mAh, which would be a record among compact flagships.
Cameras and other specs
The new device will get a triple camera with a main 50MP module, as well as a periscopic telephoto lens, which will replace the usual televisor from the Xiaomi 15. The device will also be thin and light despite having such a capacious battery.
