While MediaTek hasn’t officially unveiled the Dimensity 9500, its impressive benchmark results have already leaked online, with a fresh leak revealing that the chip has passed the 4 million point mark in the AnTuTu benchmark, beating its nearest competitor by more than 17%.

MediaTek’s Dimensity 9500 chip has already beaten Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite in AnTuTu benchmark, beating its nearest rival by more than 17%.

A new race is on in the mobile processor industry. MediaTek is preparing to release its powerful Dimensity 9500 chipset, and judging by the leaks, it’s already showing serious ambition. A reliable Chinese insider Digital Chat Station published the results of testing the new product, according to which Dimensity 9500 scored more than 4 million points in AnTuTu. That makes it noticeably faster than the current leader, the second-generation Snapdragon 8 Elite.

According to the source, MediaTek has also increased the L3 cache size from 12MB to 16MB. This expansion significantly reduces memory latency and speeds up switching between applications, which directly affects performance in multitasking conditions.

Dimensity 9500 will be manufactured using TSMC’s N3E process, a second-generation 3nm process that provides higher power efficiency and transistor density. The novelty will get two high-performance Cortex-X930 cores (codename Travis) and six energy-efficient Cortex-A730 (Gelas). The maximum frequency of the top cores will reach 4 GHz, which is 10% higher compared to Dimensity 9400.

At the same time, the insider also reported about the next stage of processor evolution. As early as 2026, we’ll see a switch to 2nm process technology. The next generations of chips – the Apple A20, third-generation Snapdragon 8 Elite, and MediaTek Dimensity 9600 – will be produced on this advanced TSMC process. It promises even greater performance and power efficiency gains, but will also make flagship smartphones more expensive.

So MediaTek is making a strong bid for leadership in the mobile SoC segment. If the final versions of the chip maintain their current performance, the Dimensity 9500 could seriously change the balance of power in the premium Android device class.
