Images of iPhone 17 Pro cases with a modified camera have leaked online

This time, the images were shared by well-known insider Majin Bu, who posted a series of photos showing the iPhone 17 Pro in alleged promotional products from an unknown accessory maker. Judging by the images, Apple could be moving to a new camera unit design, shifting the lenses to one side, and the flash and LiDAR sensor to the opposite side.
The color scheme of the cases is also interesting, with five shades – light gray, blue, mint, light purple, and dark gray – discernible in the photos. One of the photos shows the «camera bar» itself in dark gray, but most are white, which could suggest the Pro models retain a similar palette to the current iPhone 16 Pro.
This leak confirms earlier material from another reputable whistleblower, Sonny Dickson. He had already published photos of the alleged cases in March and early April. But unlike the rougher images of early prototypes, the fresh shots from Bu resemble official marketing materials – with calibrated backgrounds, colors, and layout.
It should be clarified that back in March, the same Majin Bu shared photos of metal dongles apparently intended for iPhone 17 Pro Max accessory makers. Those images also showed the repositioning of the LiDAR sensor and flash.

Although the accuracy of Majin Bu’s predictions is debatable – he’s been wrong in the past, for example, with his claim of two front-facing cameras in the iPhone 15 – the current leak looks more plausible. The reason is simple: there are already plenty of matching sources on the side of the design with «a camera bar» including reference materials for cases.
So the iPhone 17 Pro’s new rear panel shape appears to be getting closer and closer to reality — and could be the most notable iPhone design change in years.
