Hogwarts Legacy won’t be getting a new expansion after all

A planned expansion for Hogwarts Legacy has been canceled amid ongoing restructuring at Warner Bros. The expansion was scheduled for release later this year alongside the Definitive Edition of the game and was to introduce new storylines, side quests and more — again, according to last year’s reports.

Sources said the cancellation was due to concerns that the additional content would not justify the price the company had planned to charge. video game division Warner Bros. is already facing a slew of tough decisions in 2025, including closing three studios and canceling the Wonder Woman video game.
