OnePlus introduced the Nord 3 Dimensity 9000
By ForGeeks After months of leaks, OnePlus has finally unveiled the Nord 3. The phone offers a number of improvements over its predecessor Nord 2T — a bigger and better screen, a more powerful chipset and a longer battery.
The new Nord is now built on a 6.74-inch display, compared to last year’s 6.43-inch screen, putting it in a completely different size category. The new OLED panel supports 120 Hz refresh rate and HDR10+ content. Interestingly, the screen has a higher resolution of 1240×2772.

The screen also has an ultra-fast touch response rate of 1,000 Hz, 10-bit color depth and can adjust the refresh rate from 40-120 Hz. For a full multimedia experience, the Nord 3 features a set of stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos tuning.
The new MediaTek Dimensity 9000 chipset replaces the old Dimensity 1300 and promises significant performance and efficiency gains. The chipset is paired with 8GB or 16GB of RAM and 128GB or 256GB of internal memory, respectively.

The camera hardware is unchanged. The same 50 MP Sony IMX890 1/1.56″ pixel pitch 1.0 µm camera is paired with an optically stabilized lens with an f/1.9 aperture. The ultra-zoom has an 8 MP sensor, f/2.3 aperture and 120-degree viewing angle. The 2 MP macro camera is also on the back. The front camera has been upgraded to a 16 MP sensor.
OnePlus Nord 3 is powered by a 5,000 mAh battery — a significant increase over its 4,500 mAh predecessor, while retaining 80W fast charging. OnePlus promises good battery health after four years of daily charging.

The phone comes with Android 13 out of the box, based on OxygenOS 13, and the company promises to support the phone for three years, which means it will get three major Android updates.
As you can see from the photos, the Nord 3 has a new, simpler design with flat edges and a flat glass back. The case is IP54 certified for splash and dust protection, and the iconic OnePlus notification slider can be found on the side.
Nord 3 will be available in two colors — Misty Green and Tempest Gray. The starting price for the 8GB/128GB configuration is €499, while the 16GB/256GB variant is priced at €50 more.
