Samsung will delay the Galaxy S26 launch by a few weeks

It looks like Samsung’s plans to launch its new flagship Galaxy S26 lineup aren’t exactly going according to schedule. According to the latest rumors, the company has decided to postpone the launch of the series by a few weeks.
It’s usually the Galaxy S that becomes the first major smartphone announcement of the new year. In recent years, Samsung has moved the premiere date earlier and earlier — while it used to be in March, the devices will now debut as early as January. The Galaxy S25 series, for example, was unveiled on January 22, 2025.
But according to Ice Universe insider and WinFuture’s sources, the Galaxy S26 launch is delayed. The new products may not be unveiled until late February or even early March at the earliest, which is about a month later than usual. That would put the release dates back on a schedule similar to the Galaxy S23 (mid-February) and Galaxy S22 (late February).
The reasons for the delay have not been officially stated. One theory is that the confusion may have stemmed from Samsung’s recent decision to cancel the Galaxy S26 Edge model and replace it with the Galaxy S26+. This change may have made adjustments to the development process and required additional time to finalize the devices for launch.
