July’s PlayStation Plus Essential games are now available for download
By ForGeeks Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE) has released the first July batch of PlayStation Plus games.
This month’s Plus Essential list includes Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War (PS5, PS4), Alan Wake Remastered (PS5, PS4) and Endling: Extinction is Forever (PS5, PS4). Subscribers can get these games until July 31.
These games are available to subscribers.
Essential — is an entry-level PlayStation Plus membership that gives subscribers access to several «free» games each month. Players can continue to play these games as long as they are Essential or higher level subscribers.
SIE CEO Jim Ryan said in May that 30 percent of PlayStation Plus users subscribe to the more expensive Extra and Premium tiers that were introduced last summer. These tiers offer subscribers access to a catalog of games, a library of 400 downloadable games for PS4 and PS5, and Ubisoft+ Classics, a curated selection of games from publisher Assassin’s Creed.
