Sony PlayStation will not participate in Gamescom 2023
By ForGeeks Sony Interactive Entertainment is reportedly planning to skip Gamescom 2023.
In recent years, the company has preferred to showcase its games at its own digital events rather than holding conferences or attending major industry conventions such as Cologne. Sony last attended Gamescom in 2019.
The last time Sony attended Gamescom was in 2019.
Gamescom Opening Night Live, the kickoff show hosted and produced by Jeff Keagley, will return on August 22, with the main event taking place August 23-27.
According to organizers Koelnmesse and the German Gaming Industry Association, as of mid-March, 10 percent more companies had registered for the 2023 show than for the 2022 show at the same time a year earlier.
In April, it was announced that Nintendo would be the first major publisher to attend Gamescom 2023.
