This animated prequel to The Lord of the Rings is about King Helm the Hammerhead of Rohan and his family during their legendary war with the Dunlendings. It’s clear from the trailer that the filmmakers have taken Middle-earth and depicted it in the vein of Hayao Miyazaki and Studio Ghibli’s anime, which should appeal to fans of the franchise and newcomers alike.
