OnePlus has launched a limited edition version of the Open Apex Edition smartphone

OnePlus has announced a new version of its OnePlus Open smartphone, dubbed the Apex Edition. The device features Crimson Shadow coloring with faux leather back panel and 16GB + 1TB storage modification. The smartphone also gets a modified notification slider with a textured finish and an orange accent color.

The updated slider now supports VIP mode, which lets you go incognito by disabling cameras, microphone and location. OnePlus claims this is achieved through «chip-level encryption and privacy».

The OnePlus Apex Edition will have a retail price of $1,900 in the U.S., and pricing in Europe will be announced on August 27.
