15 million Google Chrome users lost all their saved passwords

A recent technical issue affecting the Windows version of Google Chrome 127 prevented users from accessing their saved passwords in the browser. The company responded quickly to the issue.
Forbes estimates that more than 15 million users were affected. In addition to the lack of password autocompletion, users were also unable to edit the list of credentials in the built-in password manager.
According to Forbes, more than one million users were affected.

Google has fixed the problem that was discovered. To recover lost passwords it is recommended to restart the browser, if this action has not been performed yet. If the problem persists, it is recommended to restart the browser using command line «-enable-features=SkipUndecryptablePasswords».
