Ryzen 7 9700X and Ryzen 5 9600X processors performance evaluated before official release

Not long ago, AMD delayed the launch of its latest desktop processors. However, test results of the Ryzen 7 9700X and Ryzen 5 9600X models on the Zen 5 architecture have already leaked online.
Insiders have evaluated the performance of the upcoming processors in base mode and after overclocking, as well as compared them to similar models of the previous generation.

In the CPU-z benchmark, the eight-core Ryzen 7 9700X scored 836 and 8237 in single-threaded and multi-threaded tests, respectively. The comparable Ryzen 7 7700X processor scored 778 and 8407 in the same tests. In Cinebench, the new chips scored 2,218 and 20,125 points, compared to its predecessor’s 19,563 and 20,125 points.

Activating Precision Boost Overdrive (PBO) boosted performance to 887 (+2.78%) and 8,748 (+6.20%) points in CPU-z. In Cinebench, the numbers increased to 2,280 (+2.79%) and 21,533 (+6.99%) units.
The six-core Ryzen 5 9600X scored 849/6179 points in CPU-z and 2160/16,205 points in Cinebench R23 (vs. 15,448 points for the Ryzen 5 7600X). Using PBO gave a performance boost of up to 6.73% in the single-threaded test and up to 5.13% in the multi-threaded test.
The AMD Ryzen 9000 Zen 5 desktop processors are expected to be available in August. The Ryzen 7 9700X and Ryzen 5 9600X models will be the first to hit the market.
