Apple at WWDC may show emoji created by artificial intelligence

Want an emoji for every appropriate occasion? Apple may already have an app for that, too.
Sometimes emoji are hard to convey how you really feel. Some services allow you to combine or create your own emoji, but Apple may be planning to make the process even easier. A well-known Apple insider has made it clear that the company may show AI-generated emoji (emoji) during its WWDC 2024 conference.
An Apple insider has made it clear that the company may show AI-generated emoji (emoji) during its WWDC 2024 conference.
The news comes from Mark Gurman of the Bloomberg website, who has been reporting on what Apple is going to announce in the near future for years. This time, he turned his attention to WWDC and what the company will announce during its keynote presentation. Apparently, Apple wants to dive into the world of artificial intelligence, especially considering that its biggest competitors like Google and Microsoft are already working hard in this direction.
Apple is looking to take the plunge into the world of artificial intelligence, especially since its biggest competitors like Google and Microsoft are already working hard in this direction.

Apple is reportedly taking a more restrained approach to its AI plans. While other companies are cramming artificial intelligence into all of their products, Apple wants its own AI tools to focus more on «tools that regular consumers can use in their everyday lives» and allow other companies to do cool, flashy things with their models. That suggests a scheme called «Project Greymatter», in which Apple will gradually add productivity-enhancing artificial intelligence to its library of apps.
And that’s what Apple is doing.
The tech giant, however, is planning some interesting ways to use AI:
One of the most notable features will be generative AI for emoji. The company is developing software that will be able to create custom emoji on the fly based on what users write. That means you’ll suddenly have an entirely new emoji for any occasion, beyond the catalog of options Apple currently offers on the iPhone and other devices.

.
If this is indeed the case, you won’t even need to open up a special emoji generator to make the perfect response; just type in what you want to say, and artificial intelligence will do what fits best. It will also be interesting to see how Apple handles sending custom emoji; other companies are tackling this problem by turning the emoji into a PNG image for all to see. We’ll just have to wait and see when WWDC 2024 rolls around.
All we have to do is wait and see.
