Samsung has unveiled its entry-level OLED TV, the S85D

Samsung’s range of OLED TVs now includes more affordable models in the S85D range, in addition to premium solutions. Available in three diagonals, they’re Pantone color accuracy certified and run Samsung’s proprietary Tizen OS.

The new TVs are believed to be based on OLED panels made by LG Display, as Samsung placed a large order for the corresponding panels back last year.

The new products get all the zooming and image processing benefits available on more expensive QD-OLED models, thanks to the NQ4 AI Gen2 processor, which is also responsible for audio processing. Four 120Hz HDMI ports are provided for connectivity, and Pantone certification confirms accurate color reproduction, including the display of pure blacks and whites.

The cost of the Samsung S85D depends on the diagonal: the 55-inch model costs $1 700 ($156 100 rubles), the 65-inch TV costs $2 099 ($192 740 rubles), and the 77-inch model will cost $3 399 ($312 110 rubles).
