Hisense announced a new line of CanvasTVs

Hispense has unveiled a new line of TVs called CanvasTV, which is reminiscent of Samsung’s The Frame. There’s only one model in the lineup so far, and its main difference is the ability to turn the TV into a painting thanks to its stylish body design and special screen features.

The first Hisense CanvasTV model is available in 55- and 65-inch sizes. The screen is made using quantum dot (QLED) technology, has a 4K resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate. However, the main feature of the display is its matte anti-reflective coating, which is necessary for the Art mode. In this mode, the TV seamlessly changes preset pictures in different styles. You can also choose your own set of pictures.

To stylize the TV to look like a painting, there is a teak wood frame that can be replaced with walnut or white wood frames. The TV is flat on the back side, allowing you to mount it close to the wall. The screen automatically adjusts brightness with a light sensor to save energy. It also has a people detection mode: if no one is in the room, the screen will turn off.

Additional display technologies include ALLM, VRR and MEMC, and the CanvasTV 2.0.2-channel audio system is responsible for sound quality. The TV runs on the Google TV platform and will be available in late summer with prices starting at $999 ($91 030 rubles).

The TV is powered by Google TV and will be available in late summer for $999 ($91 030 rubles).
