Nintendo’s next Indie World is set for April 17

See about 20 minutes of updates on indie games coming out on Switch this year.

Nintendo isn’t rumored to release the Switch’s long-awaited successor until next year. So the company needs to let fans know what they’ll be able to play on the current console in the coming months. To smooth out the schedule, Nintendo has released a slew of indie games. We’ll find out some of them during the next Indie World Showcase, which takes place on April 17 at 10 a.m. ET.

Nintendo says the stream will last about 20 minutes and will include information on games coming to Switch this year. There’s been no word yet on what to expect. However, there may finally be news on Hollow Knight: Silksong.

Nintendo has said that the stream will include information on what to expect on Switch this year.

I know, I know, we mention this game every time one of these streams comes on (and for good reason, as it’s one of the most hotly anticipated games at the moment). However, there have been some hints that we’ll be getting information on a Team Cherry sequel soon. This month, the game’s page finally appeared on the Microsoft Store, and it’s just been rated in Australia. So if the Indie World stream doesn’t reveal a release date for Silksong, perhaps we’ll finally find out what it is at the Xbox show in June. Keep your fingers crossed.”

Here’s the thing.
