Loudermilk (2017-2020)

The series «Lowdermilk» has become increasingly popular on Netflix despite its lack of popularity during its three-season run. It stars Ron Livingston as Sam Loudermilk, a recovering addict who works as an addiction counselor despite difficulties in his personal life. 

The series is set in the middle of the year.

The appearance of Claire Wilkes in his life forces Sam and his sponsor, Ben Burns, to help her kick her addiction and find a place to live. Meanwhile, Sam’s father, Jack, periodically interferes in his life, adding to the chaos. In that time, Sam and Ben become family for Claire.

The Wonder Years (2021-2023)

This is not the same sitcom that aired in 1988. Though inspired by the earlier version, the new series retains the late ’60s setting of the original series. The perspective shifts to Dean Williams, a black boy whose years take place during periods of great change in American history. He lives with his parents Bill and Lillian and his sister Kim, but that doesn’t mean everything is always perfect and good in the family all the time.

Don Cheadle plays an older Dean who is reflecting on his stage in life. Young Dean has to overcome the challenges he faces at home, in school, and outside of school.
