Ubiquiti introduced the Dream Router 5G Max: a router with 5G, Wi-Fi 7, and UniFi OS for $499
Ubiquiti announced the Dream Router 5G Max (UDR-5G-Max) — a feature-rich 5G device that supports mobile, wired and Wi-Fi connectivity. The new product is priced at $499 and will go on sale in February 2026.
Dream Router 5G Max is a desktop cloud gateway with built-in support for 5G, tri-band Wi-Fi 7 and UniFi OS. The enclosure is cylindrical in shape and measures 110 × 110 × 250 mm. The device is equipped with a NanoSIM slot and a hybrid NanoSIM/eSIM slot. On 5G NSA, maximum download speeds reach 3.4 Gbps, uploads — 560 Mbps. On standalone 5G SA networks, speeds are up to 1.8 Gbps on receive and up to 650 Mbps on transmit.

The router features a 10GbE SFP+ port and four 2.5GbE RJ45 ports, one of which supports PoE power. Wi-Fi speeds are BE10700 compliant, with up to 688Mbps, 4.3Gbps and 5.7Gbps on each band. The coverage radius is about 160 square meters. A 64GB microSD card is included for video and app storage, and up to five HD, two 2K and one 4K camera can be connected via UniFi Protect.
At the same time, the UniFi Protect can be used to connect up to five HD, two 2K and one 4K cameras.
Ubiquiti is positioning the Dream Router 5G Max as the flagship of the new UniFi 5G Max lineup. The company also introduced two other models. The UniFi 5G Max Indoor modem is powered by PoE, costs $399, and supports dual SIM and eSIM, providing up to 3.4 Gbps. The device is compatible with AT&T and T-Mobile networks, and Verizon certification is expected by the end of December.

The UniFi 5G Max Outdoor version is designed for use in harsh environments. Basic protection is IPX6 compliant, and with an optional sealed enclosure, the installation kit provides an IP67 rating. The device matches the indoor modem in terms of speeds and will be available in January 2026 at a price of $459.
