Samsung’s trifold smartphone could come out as early as this week
Samsung has officially confirmed that it will release its first trifold smartphone later this year, but has yet to announce an exact launch date. Now, according to a new report from The Korea Herald, the device will premiere as early as this week — at the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) 2025 Summit, which will take place from October 31 to November 1 in Gyeongju, South Korea.
The company has not yet decided on a final name for the new product. According to rumors, the device could be called Galaxy G Fold or Galaxy Z TriFold.
Some rumors suggest that the device will be called Galaxy G Fold or Galaxy Z TriFold.

Sources say Samsung will release an extremely limited number of devices — between 50,000 and 200,000 units in the first production batch.
It’s also reported that the smartphone will have a starting price of around $2,800, which is about a thousand more expensive than the Galaxy Z Fold7 at launch.
Sales will be limited to a few key markets, including — China, South Korea, the U.S. and the UAE.
